Dominics played Ballinameen in the League Semi-Final replay on Sunday last in Ballyleague. Dominics were short a few regulars but still played some good football against a physically stronger Ballinameen side but in the end lost out by five points. The Championship will begin in about four Weeks and Dominics with a full squad will certainly be in the shake up. We are doing well in the summer League and our next Match is on this Wed 23rd against St Ronans in Ballyfarnon at 8pm.
Our U-16 Footballers return to action this week when they participate in an U-16 blitz in Kiltoom at 8pm. Also taking part are Ros Gaels,Croans and St Brigids.Training takes place this Friday Evening at 7pm.All Players please attend
Dominics bowed out of this Years Championship when we were defeated by a strong and talented Padraig Pearses side in Woodmount on Sunday last. Dominics had a comprehensive victory over St Brigids on Thursday evening and a semi-final place awaited the winners of ourselves and Pearses on Sunday but Dominics, fielding many players who are still underage again next Year could not match Pearses on the Day.Despite this it has been a good Year at U-14 with many Players developing well and the large turnout at Training (Average 20) is very encourageing and credit to their Manager John McGloin and his selectors. The Management Team would like to thank all the Parents who helped out throughout the Year with transport and in various other ways,it is very much appreciated.
St Dominics play Roscommon Gaels on this Wed 23rd July in Knockcroghery at 7.15pm.On Friday evening last we defeated Padraig Pearses in Woodmount in the League.
Our U-12 Footballers got the opertunity of a life time when on Thursday last they played three Matches in Croke Park. Croke Park opened up the magnificent Stadium to Clubs around the Country and Dominics were selected from Roscommon along with Oran and Tulsk.( see Dominics website for full report and photos)
