CLUB NOTES - Sunday 8th June 2008

UNDERAGE FOOTBALL .

 Training for all Beginners,U-8, and U-10  continues on this Sunday morning 15th June at 12 noon in the Pitch. Registration forms will be available at the Pitch on Sunday.

PROVISION OF DEFIBILATORS IN PARISH .

A Open Meeting of the various Organisations and individuals interested in the provision of Defibilators in the Parishwill take place on  Monday Night 16th June in Culleen Hall at 9pm.

 EXECUTIVE MEETING.

A Meeting of the overall Executive  will take place on this Tuesday17th June at 9pm in the Meeting Room

FOOTBALL MEETING.

A Meeting of the Football Club will take place on this Tuesday10th June at 9pm in the Meeting Room.

CLUB HISTORY.

AS YOU MAY BE AWARE A History of the Club is currently been researched and the Committee would very much appreciate any old Photos or information you may have. They would be very interested if anyone had any details of the Minor Teams of 1929 and the Early 1930s. If you have anything contact Eileen,Donald or J.J.

WATCHES FOUND.

Two Watches were found in the Dressing Room after the Parish League on Sunday last and are now with Vincent Pierse. A follow up search of the Grounds did not yield any Dead or worn out Players.

ALAN GATELY TOURNAMENT.

A very large crowd turned out for the Alan Gately Memorial Parish League on Sunday last in Glories Sunshine.Players travelled from far and wide and is an indication with the esteem in which Alan was held by his fellow Players. All Matches were played in a very sporting manner and the Final involved Teams “A” and “B”. The eventural Winners were Team “A” captained by Liam Murray and Managed by Padraig Cronin and Sean Melia. Jimmy Gately presented the Cup to the Winning Captain and David Gately presented the Medals to the Winning Team.The Club would like to thank all the Players and Managers who took part ,the Ladies Committee who did the Catering on the Day and to all who contributed to the collection for our Ladies Hospital  Crumlin which yielded €2700.00.

SENIOR FOOTBALL.

Our Footballers are really hitting form at the Moment with three wins in the last Week.Training is going very well and the Management Team deserve great credit for this.

MINOR FOOTBALL.

 Training takes place this Sunday Evening at 6pm.All Players please attend.

U-14 FOOTBALL.

 Our U-14 Footballers played Boyle on Thursday Evening last a very good Boyle Team came out on top.We now get down to the series business of the Championship and we have 3 Weeks to prepare so all Players are asked to give a full commitment.Training this Week Tuesday at 7.30pm and Thursday at 7pm.

U-12 FOOTBALL.

 Our U-12 Footballers have made a very good start to the League with our Div 1 Team defeating Castlerea and WesternGaels and our Div 3 Team defeating Ros Gaels. This Week our Div 1 Team play Boyle in Knockcroghery on Sunday Morning and our Div 3 Team play St Barrys.

U-10 FOOTBALL.

 Our U-10 Community Games Team played out a thrilling Draw against a very good Strokestown Team in Kilbride on Sat last. The replay is fixed for Kilbride this Thurs (12th) at 7pm.
