St Dominics played the second round of the Championship against Tremane on Saturday last in Athleague. Dominics never really got going in this game and a slightly sharper Tremane side had the upper hand for most of the Game. Tremanes ability to score points from 40 to 50M out was the main difference. ( see report inside)

We played Clan na Gael “A” on Monday last in Johnstown in the OGara Cup and came away with a great Victory. This was one of the best performances of the Year from the lads and one of the key factors on a very hot day was the strength in depth of the panel and the fitness levels. The sides were evenly matched but Clan held a 3 pt advantage at the break. A feature of the Game was the excellent free taking of both Michael Finneran and Donie Shine but the outstanding fielding of Finneran swung the Game in Dominics favour in the last 15 Mins and his excellently struck Goal rounded off a great performance. The inrtroduction of Subs L.Murray,D.Dowling,S.McKeown and P.Dolan had a huge bearing on the result and proves you have to have a strong panel to have any success. Our U-14 Footballers played Clan na Gael on Thursday last in the League and went down to a slighty better Clan side on the Evening. Both sides were understrength and this showed with many moves breaking down and scoring chances been missed. Best for Dominics on the Day were Joe Gately,Liam Kilcline,Sean Naughton Senan Farrell and Christy McGloin.
