CLUB NOTES - Sunday 10th February 2008
CONGRATULATIONS.
Congratulations to Roscommon U-21 Footballers on winning the Hastings Cup on Saturday last and to our own Mark Miley who played in Goal.
FOOTBALL MEETING.
The Monthly Meeting of the Senior Football Club will take place on this Tuesday Night at 9pm in the Meeting Room.
REGISTRATION NIGHT.
A Registration Night for all Members and Players (Underage and Senior) will take place in Culleen Hall on Sunday next 17th Feb from 6-7pm. All Registration must be paid prior to any Player/Member partaking in any Club activity.
PARKS .
A Temporary Pitch Rota will operate for the next few Weeks and then the full Rota will commence. For Details contact Michael Mullally or Alan McCormack.
GOLF SOCIETY A.G.M.
The A.G.M. of the Golf Society took place in the Meeting Room on Friday Night last. The following Officers were elected for 2008 Captain/Chairman P.Dervan. Secretary E.Miley. Treasurer K.Rogers. P.R.O. B.Morris. Committee- V.Pierse,E.Finneran,T.Fallon,M.oConnor,M.Dolan,J.Naughton. A very comprehensive account of activities for last Year were presented. The Calender of Outings for 2008 was agreed and this Years trip to Portugal was outlined. Those going to Portugal must have their deposit paid by Thursday night. A Meeting will take place on this Thursday Night at 8.30pm in the Meeting Room.
MINOR FOOTBALL.
Our Minor Footballers started off their League Campaign when they travelled to Termonbarry to play St Barrys on Sunday last. We were slow to start but as the first half progressed we improved but missed two good Goal scoring opertunities and trailed by 1-2 to 2pts at the break. A much improved performance in the second half seen Dominics dominate in most positions and indeed led by one point with time up but a late injury time free enabled Barrys to grasp a draw. This performance will give Dominics the confidence to go on and possibly get to the play-off stages of the league. Training takes place on Thursday at 7.30pm.
U-16 FOOTBALL.
Our U-16 Footballers start up for 2008 when Training commences on this Tuesday Evening in Lecarrow Community Center from 8-9pm. Dominics have a very strong panel for this Year and would expect to be in the shake up in the League and Championship. A very strong Management Team of Gerry Keenan,Padraig Dervan,Eugene Finneran and Danial Byrne is in place this Year and also taking some of the Training sessions will be Fergal o Donnell,John Tiernan and Willie Hegarty. Outdoor Training will take place on Friday 15th Feb.
LADIES FOOTBALL.
Under 12 presentation took place last Sunday enjoyable afternoon, special thanks to Cannon Lavin for attending
Under 14 training will Commence on tues 19th 7.30- 8.30pm, all under 14 players welcome and those moving up from under 12.
