CLUB NOTES - Sunday 3rd February 2008

CONGRATULATIONS.

Congratulations to Liam Murray who was crowned Sports star of the Year for 2007 at a function in the Abbey Hotel last Weekend. Liam has been one of the outstanding Hurlers for the past 15 Years in Roscommon and is a most popular and deserving winner.

PARKS MEETING.

A Meeting of the Parks Committee will take place this Tuesday Night 5th Feb at 8.30pm in the Meeting Room.The Meeting will draw up the Pitch Rota for 2008.

EXECUTIVE MEETING.

A Meeting of the overall Executive Committee will take place on this Wednesday Night 6th Feb at 9 pm in the Meeting Room.

GOLF SOCIETY A.G.M.

The A.G.M. of the Golf Society will take place in the Meeting Room at 8.30pm on this Friday Night 8th Feb.All Members please attend and new Members welcome. Outings for 2008 and trip abroad to be decided.

 MINOR FOOTBALL TRAINING.

Training on this Thursday night at 7.30 in the Pitch. Our first Match in the League in on this Sunday 10th Feb when we plat St Barrys in Termonbarry at 1pm. We meet at Knockcroghery Pitch at 11.15am.

 FOOTBALL FOUNDATION COURSE.

A Foundation Course for all Underage Football Trainers takes place in Johnstown on this Sat 9th Feb at 2pm. Anyone who has not done this course must do so. Details from Coaching Officer Eddie Fallon at 086-6079533

 LADIES FOOTBALL.

  Meeting of Ladies Football on Thursday 7th February at 9pm in the meeting room at pitch.  All trainers welcome in particular u-14 as training soon to commence. Foundation course in football will be held in the Hyde on 16th February 2008, all interested in undertaking this training please attend the meeting in St Dominics on thurs next

 Congradulations to the Under 12 girls on winning the county Final 2007. A Presentation of will be held on Sunday 10th February in Culleen Hall from 4-6 pm.

SYMPATHY.

The Club offers its sympathy to the Shine Family Ballymurray on the Death of John (Jack) McDermott. Jack was a G.A.A. star of the Forties and won many Titles with both Ballymurray and St Patricks. And sympathy also to the Weir Family Galey on the death of Monicas brother Tim Tully.
